John Wineglass Commission

Orphic Percussion proudly announces that we have engaged the Emmy Award-winning composer John Wineglass for a brand new work for percussion quartet. The piece will be funded by a consortium with Orphic Percussion as the administrator.

The piece is commissioned by Orphic as a high energy finale to our Pacific Coast tour in November, 2024.

Instrumentation has not yet been decided but will include instruments typically available to a university or advanced high school program.

Participants of the Consortium will receive the following benefits:

• Name of participant, or institution, listed in the score

• 12 months of performance exclusivity following the premiere by Orphic Percussion

• Digital copy of score and parts
